Membership of the Deeping St. James Angling Club entitles all members to fish the following waters:

The Market Deeping Several Fishery

This extends from above Market Deeping at junction of old river and Mill Stream, through Market Deeping and Deeping St James to a point down stream known as Kenulphs Stone & covers both banks. Day Tickets are available. Fishing from 16 June to 14 March.

The River Welland

Crowland Bank from Wards Farm to Four Mile Bar both banks.

The River Welland known as the Spinney

By kind permission of Mr J Wherry. Upstream of Mill House along the Stamford Road, access only from the bridge over the Greatford Cut outfall. One bank. Private Water Members Only, Guest and Day tickets not available. Fishing from 16 June to the 14 March.

The Fish Refuge at Stibbington

Approximateley 1 mile beyond Wansford on the A1 Southbound, take the slip road sign posted Nene Valley Steam Railway. Turn left opposite Cafe and into Church Lane. 400 yds along on blind bend turn right, follow Private road to park on area left of Sewerage Treatment Works. Lake closed 1st April to 31st May inclusive. PE8 6LP

The Coronation Channel Spalding *

 

The River Nene Wansford

Turn left of A47 through Wansford Village over bridge. Approximately 1.1 miles white bungalow on right hand side of road. Turn right immediately after bungalow. Signposted with club sign. Combination lock on gate must be kept locked at all times (on entering and leaving). Then follow the track down to the river, bearing to the left, the river is on the right. If you continue to the end of the track you will come to Horseshoe Lake where there is additional parking. (Please Note that an additional Lake Permit is required to fish Horseshoe Lake). River Fishing 16 June to 14 March. Pe8 6JX

River Folley *

About 2350 metres of largely Double Bank fishing at Peakirk. Both upstream and downstream of Sissons Farm Sluice. Good off road parking close to the water. Includes a short stretch of the R.Welland.

Greatford Cut *

Approx 1250 metres of double bank fishing on this relatively small drain, with good off road car parking at Stamford Road end of the stretch. Easy walking along both Banks.

River Welland at Tallington *

About 1200 metres of double bank fishing either side of Tallington Bridge. Easy car parking on road with good pedestrian access to both banks.

River Witham Upstream of Lincoln (Lincoln to South Hykeham ) *

Approx 7.9 kilometres, mainly double bank fishing from Boultham to Lincoln to about 1000 metres south of South Hykeham Bridge. Access points near road crossings and footpaths, off and on road car parking in various locations.
